Radovich could be considered the prize of this year's Trojan offensive line class. At 6-5 and 275 pounds, he has tremendous athleticism and has the frame to add even more weight. Although his commitment is just becoming public today, he admits that he actually let it be known to the Trojan coaches over a week ago.
"I committed about a week and a half ago," Radovich said. "I committed to Coach (Kennedy) Pola. I just called him and left him a message saying 'Coach, I've got something to talk to you about.' Then he called me back and I just said, 'Coach, I've decided that I want to be a Trojan.' I mean, I knew all along that I wanted to go there and I thought it was the right time to do it. He was yelling on the phone and stuff like that, and he got Coach Carroll on the line, and Coach Davis and they were really excited. It was pretty cool.
"Coach Carroll, He wanted to talk to my parents and stuff. He actually didn't think that they had a good chance with me, for me to commit. I guess I surprised him that way. I'm just really excited about it. He was just like, 'It's going to be such a great time. You're close to home and you're just going to have a great time up here. We're going to take care of you,' and stuff like that."
Radovich was pretty wowed, just like everyone else, by the big performance the Trojans put on yesterday, "It was real, real good. A lot of fun," he said. "Really upbeat and everything was positive. They were just so happy that they won. I mean, they blew them out. It was just a nice atmosphere. I talked to Coach Davis, Coach Carroll, Coach Pola, and Coach Uperesa in the locker room."
He also caught up with a couple of other big time prospects after the game, as he explained, "I'm pretty good friends with Chris Barrett and Sam Baker. I talked to them."
Completely solid on his commitment to the Trojans, Radovich added that his decision is final and that he will not be visiting any other schools.
