The University of Illinois received a commitment from one of the top prospects in Northern Illinois.

“I committed to Illinois and my official visit will be this weekend,” said defensive lineman Adam Wilk.

“I had offers from a lot of the MAC schools and I was hearing from Northwestern and Indiana.

“It was an easy decision for me. I’ve always wanted to go to Illinois. I went to the summer camp this year, I liked the coaches, the facilities and the school.”

Wilk, a 6-foot-5, 240-pounder, from Lake Zurich, Illinois was a two-year varsity starter. He was named all-area in 2002.
