Coach Says Loper Grabs Offer

Erial, N.J., product Eric Loper already had two offers from Division I-A programs leading into the weekend, however according to his head coach Rob Hinson the defensive back picked up another from Villanova when he attended their game against Richmond recently.

Timber Creek Regional High School wide receiver Eric Loper grabbed another offer from Villanova recently to add to the two he already had from Akron and Buffalo. While the 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete was not available for comment at the time his head coach did fill us in.

“I just wanted to let you know Villanova finally offered Eric on Saturday,” Hinson said. “We went over with his father for the Villanova-Richmond game and Coach Talley offered him afterwards. Eric was very happy with the offer. Something about Villanova really intrigues him.”

As a junior, Loper had 51 tackles, six interceptions and six pass breakups on defense. On offense, he caught 27 passes for 324 yards and six touchdowns. Loper was named first-team All-Conference at defensive back.
