Parthemore Weighing Options
Chris Parthemore, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end out of Camp Hill (Pa.) Cedar Cliff is currently receiving attention from Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Boston College and Temple. Currently, Temple is the only offer on the table for the Cedar Cliff standout. Parthemore and his family took a trip to Philadelphia to watch the Owls take on UConn on September 6. Despite the rainy weather and Temple suffering a 12-9 overtime loss, Parthemore said the visit went well. "It was a fun visit," Parthemore said. "I thought everything was good, but it was a little wet because of the rain from the hurricane (Gustav) coming through. My recruiting coach at Temple is Curtis Bray, who is also the linebacker's coach. He's very nice and has helped us out a lot so far. My parents like coach Bray very much. Temple has a lot of new things going on with their facilities and we were very pleased after the visit." Parthemore said he will continue to take visits to other schools to see how everything is shaping up. Pittsburgh is also watching the 6-foot-5 tight end closely, and according to Parthemore, the Panthers will be taking two tight ends for the 2009 recruiting class. Parthemore attended the Panthers game on September 20 against the Iowa Hawkeyes. "I was very excited about getting the invitation to go watch the Panthers play the Hawkeyes," he said. "We got the letter in the mail and we accepted the invitation immediately. My brother is a student at Pittsburgh, so it was nice to go to the game as a recruit and not just a visitor." One would think that with a family member at Pittsburgh, Parthemore would end his college decision early if the Panthers offer. But, he said wants to weigh all his options. " It is definitely nice to have my brother at Pittsburgh," he said. "But, I feel just as comfortable at Temple. As long as I feel comfortable with a school, that's all that matters."
