Finding defensive tackles with great size isn’t a problem for college coaches, however finding big bodies that can also rush the passer is the real test and Owensboro, Ky., native Harris Bivin looks like he could be one of those types of players in the Class of 2010.

Harris Bivin, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive tackle from Apollo High School in Kentucky had a solid sophomore season as a varsity starter, notching 60 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Right now he has started visiting schools showing him early interest.

Oklahoma, Louisville, Oregon, Western Kentucky and UAB are the schools showing me the most serious interest right now,” Bivin explained. “I’m going to visit Western Kentucky this weekend and then will go to Louisville and Oklahoma after that.”

“I did go down to UAB for an unofficial visit recently and had a lot of fun down there. I got to talk to the coaching staff before the game and thought they were good people.”
