Playing one of the tougher schedules in the Southland has been Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola. One of their senior leaders is receiver Brett Ackerman, who's made an impact on both sides of the ball for the Cubs.

Ackerman has 12 receptions for 165 yards, seven going for first downs, 19 tackles, five pass breakups, an interception for a score and a blocked extra point.
