"We're doing pretty well this season," said King. "We're 5-2 and we're tied for first in our district. We have a bye week and then we play the team we are tied with the next week."
Greg is spending a lot of time on the telephone these days. College coaches are making their weekly phone call in droves.
"They are all being real patient with me. They ask a lot of questions, but nobody is pressuring me. They all seem pretty calm and willing to wait for me."
With so many coaches to talk to and so many offers to consider, Greg admits to having a tough time narrowing the field. He confesses he has a strong attraction to one school in particular.
"I like Alabama a lot," said King. "I like Miami, Texas Tech, LSU, Oklahoma and some other schools too. I just like all of the schools that are recruiting me.
"It's hard to decide because I have such a good relationship with all of the coaches that are calling me. They all want to learn about me and my life and not just about football."
A decision is not expected in the immediate future, but King coyly concedes he has a leader in mind.
"I think I am going to wait for a while, but I have an idea about where I want to go," said Greg. "I just want to take some visits to be sure and then I am going to decide."
