Florida WR closing in on 10 offers
"We're doing real good, undefeated right now," Anthony Williams said. "This last game I had five catches for over 100 yards, an 85 yard kickoff return that was called back, and I scored three touchdowns but two were called back." Even with some of those big plays being called back, Williams has been lighting up opposing defenses so far this season. In six games, Williams has 18 catches for 358 yards and five touchdowns. He continues to get heavily recruited on the college front. "I have offers from Georgia, Marshall, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Indiana, Ball State, Rutgers, and Troy," he said. "Kansas and Syracuse are real close, just waiting to see more. And the offensive line coach from Florida has been calling and wants to see more film before they make a decision." Williams, 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, said three schools seem to be showing the most interest at this point. "I talk a lot to the coaches at Ole Miss, Troy, and Kansas," he said. "Those guys have been calling a lot lately." The talented wide receiver prospect has not yet scheduled any official visits but plans on doing that soon. "I just signed up to take the test on the first of November so after that I'll be able to start taking some trips," he said. Williams, who also has returned a punt for a score this season, said he's not ready to name any favorites just yet. "I'm looking at them all right now," he said. "I don't have any leaders. I'm just listening to what they're saying and will take my visits and see where I feel most comfortable."
