"I'm very comfortable with Virginia now," Tyree Watkins said. "It's 100% solid. I was second guessing myself earlier this season and thought about looking around but after talking it over with my family, we realize that it was a great decision. I like the environment over there and the coaches are great. They have a great staff and I think they are starting to pass more and the offense is..."

Tyree Watkins, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound three-star wide receiver from Camden High School in New Jersey made a commitment to Virginia during the summer, but recently backed away from his decision. Now he says he's once again fully committed to the Cavaliers.

"I'm very comfortable with Virginia now," Watkins said. "It's 100 percent solid. I was second guessing myself earlier this season and thought about looking around but after talking it over with my family, we realize that it was a great decision.

"I like the environment over there and the coaches are great," he said. "They have a great staff and I think they are starting to pass more and the offense is looking good."

It also doesn’t hurt that the Cavs are now on a three game win streak. "They had a big win over North Carolina last weekend," Watkins said. "I love how hard they are fighting. I think I'd be able to come in and play early there."

Although Watkins says he's solid to the Cavs right now, he admits that the major litmus test will be when he takes his official visit on Nov. 22 for the Clemson game.

"That visit will be big," he said. "I'm really looking forward to that visit. I want to meet all the other recruits and see what it's gonna be like. If I don't feel 100 percent comfortable about it during that trip, then I'll set up some others just in case."

The other trips that Watkins would take are Duke, Stanford and Connecticut. "I still hear from those three all the time," he said. "The coaches call and check to see how I'm doing and see if I'm still solid to Virginia. I told them that I'll let them know for sure after I take my visit."

All of those schools have offered Watkins as well as West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Minnesota, Iowa and others.

Watkins followed Miami as a youngster, but was never recruited by the 'Canes.

His team is currently 2-4 and Watkins has 15 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He also has 39 tackles and one kick returned for a touchdown.

"I think I have great hand-eye coordination," said Scout.com's No. 90 wide receiver. "I'm a good route-runner and have great footwork. I like being physical and run smooth.

"I want to get my teammates involved more and make them better," he said. "I want to be a better leader. I'm still trying to improve my whole game and there's nothing that I'm not working on."

Watkins said he bench presses 285-pounds, squats 320 and has a 34-inch vertical jump.

Watkins reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 1650 SAT.
