Adam Hall, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound four-star wide receiver/safety from Palo Verde Magnet High School in Tucson, Ariz., has already scheduled three official visits and hopes to set a fourth soon.
Hall will be taking his first trip to California on Nov 1. Then it's on to Arizona on Dec. 6 and No. 6 USC on Dec 12.
"I'm also close to setting up a trip with (No. 2) Alabama," Hall said. "I talked with coach Nick Saban earlier this week and he really wants me to come out there. We're trying to figure out a date."
The Tide are the lone SEC program on Hall's list. "I like how well they are doing this year," he said. "I'm not really surprised though. They had a great recruiting class and the coaches have done a good job."
So does Hall see the Tide running the table and playing for the national championship? "It's a long season," he said. "You never know what can happen in college football."
Although Hall is ranked as the No. 25 wide receiver in the country by Scout.com, he says USC and Cal are both looking at him for defense. "I've been talking to coach Nick Holt (USC) a lot and he's a defensive guy," he said. "He really wants me on defense as a safety.
"Cal is recruiting me for safety too," Hall said. "They have a good program and I could really see myself in their secondary.
"I also like how Cal is known as an academic school," he said. "I've never been up there, so I'm looking forward to the visit."
Hall says he doesn't have a preference for which position he plays in college.
This season Hall has already gone to every Arizona home game.
"Arizona is really turning the corner," he said. "They are becoming one of those teams that nobody will want to play. They seem to be playing more like a team. It's been a whole team effort this year and it's working."
Besides the Wildcats games, Hall also attended the USC/Ohio State in Los Angeles on Sept. 13.
"That game was fun," he said. "The atmosphere there was amazing and it was real intense. I just love the game day environment at USC, plus you always expect them to win. They seem to put together a great recruiting class every year and are always successful."
Although Hall says he's still open, the Trojans still appear to be the team to beat as a slight leader. "USC is still up there," he said.
"As it gets closer though, I realize that I really just need to take my visits to be sure," he said. "I think I said USC was my favorite after I had just got back from there."
While Hall expects to take all his official trips, he also says that he won't hesitate to pull the trigger if it "feels right."
"Whenever I get that feeling that I want to be there, I'll commit," he said. "It could be on my first trip or it could be on the last trip - I don't know.
"But I know there's not really one thing that I'm looking for," he said. "I want the whole package. I'm gonna have to live there for four years so I need to make sure I’m comfortable and that I really like everything about it."
Palo Verde Magnet High School is currently 7-1. Hall, who claims over 20 offers, says he averages around 250 all-purpose yards per game. He has scored a total of 32 touchdowns (four punt returns, three kick returns, two interceptions and one fumble recovery). Defensively, he also has four interceptions and three fumbles caused.
He reports a 2.7 core GPA and a 19 ACT.
