Elite 2010 OT Has One Offer, More Interested
Cedar Hill High School's Adam Shead is a 6-3 290 pound man child. He possesses good feet, quickness off the ball, and size and is sure to be one of the hottest pursued linemen in the country. Not even through his junior season, Shead holds an offer from Colorado and is hearing from Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma and LSU among others. Here is what he had to say about the schools showing interest. Colorado: "Colorado is the only school to offer me so far. I don't know much about them but it seems like an OK place and they play in a great conference." Vanderbilt: "They send me stuff all the time and invited me to some games but I can't make it out there yet. I like that they have good academics and they're winning games now. To win the the SEC is impressive." Texas A&M: "A&M, I think is close to offering me. They send me the most stuff and I talked to the coaches and they say I'm one of their top line prospects." Texas and Oklahoma: "I went to the game when they played at the Cotton Bowl and it was crazy. Both teams are really good and I was impressed by the atmosphere and the talent. Being recruited by both schools is an honor." LSU: "LSU is a school that I want to hear more from. They send me stuff but I want an offer from them. I like their tradition and they seem like they'd have a nice environment too. Yeah. I'd definitely say I'd want to hear more from them." Shead added that he is open minded with the process and will listen to every school that has an interest in him. But don't be surprised if he finds what he likes and pulls the trigger. "Right now, I want to go through the process and find the right school. I'm open minded about the process but if I find a school where I feel comfortable, I won't mind committing." Scout.com will continue to track the recruiting of Shead as more offers will soon be laid out on the table.
