Corona (Calif.) Centennial quarterback Taylor Martinez (6-1, 185) is the leader of one of the premier programs in the West.
Martinez, in his first year as the Huskies starter, has led them to the #2 ranking in California, and a 7-0 start.
Through seven games, Martinez has run for 273 yards on 45 carries and scored six times and through the air has thrown for 1,359 yards and 13 touchdowns, despite sitting out the second half of numerous games.
A commit to Nebraska, Martinez is seen in action here during the 2008 season.
