Jake Long, a talented offensive lineman, verbally committed to Michigan before the 2002 season. Big Jake visited the Ann Arbor campus this past weekend.

Jake Long, a 6-foot-7, 295-pound, offensive lineman from Lapeer (MI) East has already made a verbal commitment to Michigan and this past weekend he made his official visit.

"My visit went great," Long said. "Adam Stenavich was my host and I had a great time.

"I think we had around 11 guys visiting this weekend and I believe Pat Sharrow made a verbal commitment.

"We met with a lot of academic people and we were also given an in-depth campus tour. We also had a ton of good food."

Long was named all-state in 2002 by the Detroit Free-Press.
