Michael Bowie Shocked
"It was kind of shocking to me," said Michael Bowie. "I thought it would be a few more years before they even considered letting him go. I was really looking forward to coach Prince being my coach." "My coach told me this afternoon about it. Their coaching staff was a big reason for my commitment. I liked the way coach Prince treated me. I like their staff and players. It was a good fit for me because of the relationship I had with the staff." Bowie was already looking, but the interest in other schools may increase with Wednesday's news out of Manhattan. "It will probably effect my decision a lot," he said. "I am still very interested in OSU, Texas Tech, Kansas, Texas A&M, Iowa State and TU. I am going to Texas Tech this weekend for my first official visit. I also plan to visit OSU." "I am looking forward to the visit. It's going to be a good game. I am looking forward to seeing their campus. I can't say too much about what I like. I like the coaches. It seems pretty good so far." The Oklahoma native is still committed to the Wildcats, but not completely sold on the program. "I am a commitment to Kansas State, but it's not a solid commitment," Bowie stated. "I am going to wait to see who the new coaching staff is going to be."
