Massive OL Fred Thornton commits to local school, makes second known commitment for Devils in two days

Devil's Digest, Arizona State's website from Scout.com, has confirmed that offensive guard Fred Thornton from Phoenix (Az.) South Mountain High School has verbally committed to play for the Sun Devils.

Thornton (6-2 305) is a big, physical lineman that has dominated opponents in the Metro II Region over the past two years. He was a 1st team all region selection as a junior.

ASU was Thornton's only known offer.
