One of the big reasons that Los Flores (Calif.) Tesoro went undefeated in the South Coast League is linebacker John Michael Davis.
Tesoro is the #3 seed in the CIF-SS Pac-5 playoffs which begin this week and to earn that spot, they won the South Coast League, which included a big victory over Mission Viejo.
"It was John Michael Davis' Tesoro team that came out on top in the showdown, in no small part to the linebacker's efforts. Davis played the game with a heavy brace on his arm and in obvious pain, but he still made his presence felt with several big plays and keeping Bridgford uncomfortable in the pocket all night. Labeled a "combine" guy by some in the area, Davis showed he's pure football player in addition to having terrific physical attributes," said Scout.com's Director of Scouting, Scott Kennedy.
Here are clips of Davis in action against Mission Viejo.
