A year after Phil Taylor visited Kenya, the defensive tackle remains motivated…
De'Antwan Williams' Options
"I haven't taken any official visits yet," said De'Antwan Williams. "I am trying to get some visits scheduled in December. I know I am working on West Virginia, Pitt and maybe Maryland. I am not sure on the other dates yet." "The schools recruiting me right now are Maryland, Rutgers, West Virginia, Pitt, UVa and Illinois. I have been to UVa twice. I went to the UNC and USC game. I attended the West Virginia/Auburn game as well." Williams is not showing his cards too much at this point, but a couple of schools have his attention. "I really don't have any favorites right now," he said. "I liked both the visits I went on. UVa is a pretty nice place. I like it. West Virginia is a really nice place. I was very impressed with them when I went there." "I plan to make my decision after I take all of my visits. I am going to look for playing time. That is pretty much the main thing I am going to look at right now." A decision was almost reached this week, but the SEC program is full at the position. "I have been going back and forth with Alabama," Williams stated. "I spoke to coach [Curt] Cignetti this week. I was very close to committing to them. They have a situation right now where they have enough running backs committed to them [Trent Richardson, Mike Marrow]. Coach Cignetti told me if they lose one they would take me." Williams enters the second round of the play-offs Friday night with a perfect 10-0 record. He has rushed for 1,890 yards and 32 touchdowns this season.
