Milwaukee (Lutheran) linebacker, wide receiver Nick Roach is considered one of the "Top 20" prospects in the Badger State. Roach talks about his Big Ten verbal commitment.

"I chose Northwestern because of the academics and its close to home," said linebacker Nick Roach.

"I played both running back and wide receiver in high school but I'm going to be playing outside linebacker at Northwestern.

"Northern Illinois was my only other scholarship offer but I had a lot of schools that were still calling."

Roach, a 6-foot-1, 217-pounder, from Milwaukee (WI) Lutheran had 87 tackles, 2 sacks and he returned an interception for a touchdown in 2002.
