Jeath Blount update
According to Blount, he has been offered by the University of Alabama-Birmingham and Louisiana Tech. “I haven’t even gotten close to narrowing my choice down,” Blount explains. “I have an official visit scheduled at South Alabama on Friday.”
Whatever decision Blount makes, it has to be quickly. Blount is scheduled to graduate from NECC at the end of the fall semester, which is in three weeks.
“We did not have the type of year that I was hopeful of having,” said Blount of the Tigers’ season. “At times we played ok, but overall we could, and should, have been a lot better.”
Blount, who starred at Bayou Academy in Cleveland, was recently named to the first-team MACJC All-State football team.
“It was an honor to get chosen for this,” Blount exclaimed. “There are so many good athletes playing in the MACJC.”
“I plan on majoring in physical therapy,” said Blount. “A lot of my decision will be based on the academics side. I have to be prepared for my life after football.”
Blount knows that his decision has to be made quickly, and more importantly, correctly.
