Pack Pride has the latest on Orlando (FL) Dr. Phillips defensive end Victor Gray and his interest in…
Things heating up for Florida DE
"The only visit I have taken so far is to Colorado State," Victor Gray said. "I loved it. It was a nice campus, a nice city. I plan on going to Boston College and Ole Miss after the season. I'm not sure where my other two will go." Gray, 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, talked about what he likes about BC and Ole Miss. "Boston College is known for its academics," he said. "The kids who graduate from there get good jobs right away. Plus, they're a good football program. They have been to a bowl game eight out of the last nine years and they're on TV a lot. Ole Miss, they're having a good season beating teams like Florida and LSU. They play in the SEC and that's a plus." The talented defensive end prospect, who claims offers from all three of those schools, said others are still calling as well. "Georgia Tech has been calling and they're actually gonna be coming down here in a couple weeks to see me," he said. "I also got offers from schools like UCF, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee, and Tulane." Gray, who said he's not ready to name a favorite just yet, is in the middle of an excellent senior season. "We play Boone in the second round of the playofs this week," he said. "We beat them earlier in the season and I had six sacks in that game. I'm going for seven in this one. I have over 100 tackles on the season now, 12 sacks, two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries."
