Williams Receiving Feedback

West Catholic High School is showing the Pennsylvania Class AA teams that the Philadelphia Catholic League is no joke right now and Chris Williams has been one of the players on the defensive side of the ball making sure that potent offense is on the field a lot to score in bunches. We caught up with him recently to see which schools are talking to him.

Chris Williams, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker from Philadelphia, Pa., is helping the Burrs prove their might in the playoffs right now and while recruiting isn’t exactly blowing up for him, he does have a small number of solid schools that are showing him consistent interest.

“I talked to Louisville recently and they said they would be in contact with me very soon about my status with them,” Williams offered. “They’re obviously a big time school, so when they contacted me it took me a little off guard to be honest with you. The coach I talked to said he liked me a lot and just wanted to show my film to the other coaches to see what they thought so he could give me an honest idea of where I stand with them.”

“Monmouth and Delaware State have also been sending me handwritten letters right now which is cool,” Williams explained. “Both schools think I would be solid for them as does Central Connecticut State. IUP, Villanova and Hofstra are also showing interest right now.”

This season Williams has played nose tackle, defensive end, middle and outside linebacker for West Catholic and has 50 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
