OT Roy Watts set to reschedule OM visit

The former Texas offensive lineman was scheduled to visit Ole Miss this weekend but had to cancel it at the last minute.
"I called them the day before I was suppose to come and let them know that I could not make it," added
Roy Watts
. "I spoke to Coach Markuson and let him know that I was going to have to reschedule it. I was excited about taking that visit too, so I hate that I had to cancel it, but I had a family issue that popped up."
Has the 6' 6", 335 pound offensive lineman rescheduled his official visit to Ole Miss?
"I think around the 19th of December is when I am going to go over there. I am going to talk to Coach Markuson again to set up the date. He was talking about me maybe coming in for a mid-week visit, but like I said, I do not know yet. I have Miami this weekend and Houston next, but I talk to
Gerald Harris
and
Jevan Snead
a couple of times a week. They tell me how nice it is down there, and how it is a family atmosphere. That is what I am looking for."
Roy was actually blocking for Jevan Snead at Texas, and they were in the same class together, but both parted ways.
"It is kind of strange how this all worked out. It seems like yesterday that we were freshmen together at Texas. We became pretty close because he was in my class, and I was always blocking for him during practice. Jevan is just real easy to play for because of his personality. He is so laid back. I can see why Ole Miss is playing so hard for him."
Ole Miss is graduating their All-American left tackle,
Michael Oher
, and Watts knows there is an opportunity to take that slot.
"That is all I am asking for, a chance to compete for the starting job. I need to play right away because I only have two years left. I want to get into spring training, train hard, and compete for the left tackle spot. I know that Miami and Houston are also graduating their left tackles, so I have a good opportunity in front of me at all three schools."
