Jeff Skoog was playing for Hudson High School until his sophomore year, but decided that if he wanted to have a better chance at getting to the next level he should transfer to Salisbury School, a program that is known for getting players to the collegiate level. Right now he’s not sure which position he’ll play in college, but he has had some interest.
With a 6-foot-6, 290-pound frame
Jeff Skoog
is being recruited to play both defensive tackle and offensive line by colleges right now. His junior year was his first playing offensive guard for Salisbury School and it sounds like that may be his future home if he makes it to the NCAA.
“Right now I haven’t been getting much in terms of serious recruiting letters, but I have gotten stuff from a handful of schools,” Skoog said. “I think at this point the schools I’m most intrigued by are
Boston College
,
Connecticut
, New Hampshire and
Ohio State
. Obviously I’m open to anything though.”
Skoog actually took at unofficial visit to Chestnut Hill earlier in the year and gave rave reviews when asked about the visit.
“I went to Boston College and it was an awesome visit,” Skoog explained. “It was for their game against
Virginia Tech
and I got to go down on the field and everything. The atmosphere was amazing there and everything just felt perfect. I loved the campus, the guides that showed us around were great and everything I saw I was really into. They said they like me at defensive tackle, so we’ll see where that goes.”
He reports a max bench of 300 pounds, a max squat of 350 pounds and a 3.2 core GPA.
