DeDe Lattimore said he has narrowed his list to three schools and still favors Oklahoma State and South Florida solidly over Louisville. He did not visit the Cowboys last weekend as scheduled and hopes to reschedule the trip soon. "I really like the coaches at Oklahoma State," Lattimore said. "I can see myself playing there. I think I'd fit in well because I like the 3-4 defense they run..."

DeDe Lattimore, the 6-foot-1, 225-pound three-star linebacker from Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Ga., said he has now narrowed down his list to three schools (fifteen offers). Lattimore still favors Oklahoma State and South Florida solidly over Louisville. All have offered, but he says the Cowboys and Bulls are recruiting him the most.

Ranked as the No. 17 strongside linebacker in the country by Scout.com, Lattimore was supposed to visit Oklahoma State officially on Nov. 29 but had to retake the SAT instead. He is yet to quality with a 2.4 core GPA and an 840 SAT score.

"I'm gonna try and reschedule that trip this week," he said. "I really like the coaches at Oklahoma State, especially coach (Glenn) Spencer. He's a cool and down-to-earth man.

"I also like how good Oklahoma State did," he said of the Cowboys 2008 season. "I can see myself playing there. I think I'd fit in well because I like the 3-4 defense they run. That's what we run and I have experience at it."

But the Cowboys are going to have to compete with the Bulls and what Lattimore calls, "the perfect location."

"Tampa is a fun place," he said. "It's a great location and there's a lot to do there. It would be a fun place to live."

Of course, Lattimore says he also like the Bulls defense. "I like how down and dirty they play," he said. "They are a tough team."

Louisville is the only school that is also recruiting Lattimore as running back. "I don't really know too much about Louisville," he said. "I'd like to take a visit there and see what it's like."

His childhood favorite Michigan is no longer on Lattimore's list as the Wolverines don't seem to be recruiting him any longer.

He says he'll likely wait until signing day to announce his decision. "I want to take my time," he said.

Lattimore says he wants to major in business management and reports a 2.4 core GPA and an 840 SAT, which he retook in November.
