If speed is the most valuable weapon a football player can have, Hallandale, Florida's Korvic Neat has a full arsenal.
The fast-as-he-needs-to-be scat back/wideout visited Ole Miss over the weekend.
"I had a real good time," said the softspoken Neat. "The players are cool and real friendly. I like the family atmosphere. That appeals to me.
"The facilities are really nice - everything under one roof for football and the everyone seems so comfortable around each other. Like I said, they are a family and I think that is what every prospect is looking for."
Neat was shown around by Dexter McCluster, who has a lot in common with the Hallandale native.
"Dexter and I are both small guys trying to make it in a big man's game," Neat noted. "I know Ole Miss is trying to find another Dexter and we are a lot alike with our games.
"We both depend on speed and quickness and have confidence in our ability. He was real cool."
Neat said he's nowhere near a decision yet, and has no leader.
"I have a lot of thinking to do. This is a very important decision for me, but my impression of Ole Miss is a very good one," he noted.
Neat is also being recruited by Troy State and SIU, he said, but he expects others to pick up the heat in the coming weeks.
"I've got to weigh everything and then I will decide," he closed.
