Lynden (Wash.) athlete David Gaylord did everything he could to help the Lions win the state title. And it worked.
Gaylord scored a touchdown and then caught a 2-point conversion to tie the score and force overtime with Prosser (Wash.), and they would win in double overtime.
On the day, Gaylord had two touchdowns and several fourth-down conversions. He talked about the win and is seen here in highlights from the game.
