Jackson Ready For Visits

Josh Jackson is ready to choose a school. Before a choice is made, the talented DE will visit schools from the SEC and ACC. Jackson is part of a talent rich pool from the state of Georgia that continues to give and give to major programs all across the country.

"Recruiting is really going well," added Josh Jackson. "I just got off the phone with NC State."

Who has offered the talented Georgia star?

"I have offers from NC State, Ole Miss, Georgia State and UMass. I think Arkansas is very close to offering."

What schools will Jackson visit?

"I have a visit set up with Arkansas (1/9). I plan to visit NC State, Ole Miss and UMass sometime in January."

Where is the talented Gainsville High star being recruited to play?

"Every school wants me at DE except for Ole Miss. Ole Miss wants me to play DT. Coach Rocker (Ole Miss)explained to me that he thought I fit into their system well at DT."

What are other schools telling Jackson?

"Honestly, we talk about the schools most of the time. They tell me about academics and the campus."

What will the Scout.com #98 DE look for during his visits?

"I'm ready to commit to the school that stands out. I want to learn about the schools that are recruiting me. I want to major in business and so I will pay close attention to academics."

Will playing time be a factor?

"I don't think so. If I'm better then the person in front of me then I want to play. If the person in front of me is better, I don't mind red shirting to get better."

What are Jackson's strengths on the field?

"I'm a leader and I never stop running to the ball. I play as hard as I can every play. I work hard during practice as well."

The Gainsville star could be a major sleeper this year and several post season all-star games have already extended invitations.

"I have been chosen to play in the North vs. South All-Star game and the Land Down Under All-Star game in Australia."

Jackson plans on taking the SAT in January.
