Georgia LB makes decision

Stephen Roberts, linebacker from Starr's Mill High School in Fayetteville, Ga., took his first official visit last weekend. The South-Metro Atlanta didn't commit immediately after the visit, but after a meeting with two notable figures in his life he made that important decision.

"I sat down with my coach and dad, and went through some logical things," Stephen Roberts stated. "We talked about the schools that were still interested in me. Indiana, Michigan State, Georgia Southern, Ole Miss, and MTSU were showing the most interest. In that meeting I made my final decision."

"I figured out that the best fit for me was MTSU. I believe that I'll fit in great there. I took an official visit there last weekend. It's a very solid commitment. I'm definitely going to MTSU."

Roberts has no plans for any future visits.

"I've only taken one official visit so far," he commented. "I was gonna take one to Indiana this weekend, but I've cancelled it. I'm finished with my official visits. I know where I wanna go to school."

Roberts totaled 142 tackles, 11 for a loss, two sacks, one interception for a touchdown, five blocked punts, in 10 games in 2008.
