Jay Ottovegio Update!
Jay Ottovegio Update!

Florida's Jay Ottovegio visited Illinois this past weekend and two January official visits have been set. Does Ottovegio have a leader?

"I spent the weekend at Illinois," said punter/kicker Jay Ottovegio.

"This was my first visit and it went well. I enjoyed myself. The football facilities were very nice.

"I was also surprised to see how good the academic programs are at Illinois.

"The only bad thing about the visit is that I missed the Miami (Dolphins) game today. I've been to every home game this year and today was a big game against the Raiders.

"I'm going to Stanford (1-10) and Kansas State (1-17) in January. I don't have a leader. I need to visit all three schools before I start naming a leader.

Ottovegio, a 6-foot, 190-pounder, from Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas is being recruited as a kicker.

His long field goal made and attempted is 48 yards. 68 out of 75 kick-offs have been touchbacks.

Ottovegio's best friend and teammate is Notre Dame bound running back, David Marrero.
