Seattle (Wash.) Garfield defensive tackle Deandre Coleman, the top-rated defensive player in Washington has made his college choice, and he's heading to the Golden State to play.
"I've made my decision and I'm going to Cal," said Coleman.
Coleman is the most recent Seattle-area native to choose the Golden Bears, following Redmond's Trevor Guyton and O'Dea teammates Anthony Felder and Brandon Jones (now at Washington State) in recent years.
The one-time commit to the hometown Washington Huskies decommitted from Washington during the season, the final one under Tyrone Willingham.
He visited Cal on October 4th, and was scheduled to visit Oregon State and Arizona State in January.
But those won't be happening.
"I'm done," said Coleman.
Later this month, he'll be playing in the U.S. Army All-American Game in San Antonio.
