Brauchle Headed to MSU

Mississippi State went to the junior college ranks to address their place kicking needs for the 2009 season. The Bulldogs offered two-time All-American kicker Sean Brauchle. Earlier today Sean took MSU up on their offer and signed with the Bulldogs.

"I was ready to get it over and I am real happy," said Brauchle. "I was ready to know where I am going. I finished junior college yesterday and I am headed on to the next college today."

The Mercy Cross product ended his senior college recruitment just over an hour ago.

"I signed around 2 PM," said Sean. "My dad and I sat down at his work and signed everything. He was happy with my decision. He just wanted me to go where I wanted to go and where I would be happy."

In addition to his family, Sean's extended family at Gulf Coast were also elated with the news of decision to attend Mississippi State.

"Coach Campbell was real happy," said Sean. "He didn't want to see me pass up on any scholarship offers. I have been texting Chris (White) all day. He has been waiting on me to do this for a long time."

Brauchle is excited about the Bulldogs future under coach Dan Mullen.

"State is going to do well with this new coach," said Sean. "He will get that offense moving up and down the field and that's good for me too. I am really happy about everything."
