Big Present for Oregon Fans

Christmas came early for Oregon fans, as Scout.com learned Wednesday that Boseko Lokombo, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker/receiver prospect from W.J. Mouat Secondary in Abbotsford, B.C., verbally committed to Mike Bellotti and the Oregon Ducks.

"Yup it's true," Lokombo told Scout.com Wednesday night. Ï will become a Duck."

Lokombo, who played his junior year at South Eugene (Ore.) High School, picked the Ducks over offers from Boise State, California, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State and others. He is currently ranked as the No. 8 MLB nationally by Scout.com, but because of his versatility and athleticism could very easily play receiver at the next level.

We'll have more from Lokombo and his thoughts on his decision for the Ducks in the next couple of days. Needless to say, this news will provide a little something extra in the stocking of every Oregon fan when they wake up Christmas morning.
