Sacramento (Calif.) Capital Christian receiver Spencer Hagan (6-4, 182) had another strong season, ending his career among the top receivers in NorCal history.
This weekend, he prepares to play in the Holiday Classic All-Star Game in Sacramento, and when that’s done, it will be full-bore into recruiting.
“He holds offers from Portland State and Montana State and a preferred walk on offer from Cal,” said his father Scott. “Cal would have him report June 1 instead of the usual August 1 with the other preferred walk-ons. Cal has really convinced Spencer they believe that he has huge upside and a real chance to play at Cal if he comes and gets in the program.”
Aside from those three, a host of other schools have been keeping tabs on Hagan.
“He continues to hear from several Pac-10, WAC and Mountain West schools,” said Scott Hagan. “Washington State and Cal Poly called for more film this week and Cal Poly is scouting him.
This weekend, Hagan will play for the North in the Holiday Classic, with eight members of Sacramento Grant’s state championship team.
Hagan concluded his senior year with 54 receptions, 1,019 yards and 13 touchdowns. He ended his career with 2,630 yards receiving and 144 career receptions.
