Auburn (Wash.) Riverside linebacker Jake Pele has made his college decision and he'll be heading a state over to play in the Big Sky.
"I have given a verbal committment to Idaho State," said Pele. "They want me as a defensive end, which im really excited about."
The Bengals had offered Pele earlier this month, his first offer, and he said then that a commitment could be forthcoming.
"I am 110% committed to Idaho State," said Pele. "I talked to Coach Miller a ton the last few weeks and I feel like Idaho State is the place for me. I have an in-home visit before the official visit being scheduled with Coach Miller and head coach, Coach Zamberlin, which im really excited about. It will make everything more solid than it is now."
The decision to commit to Idaho State for Pele is a relief to him.
"I am very happy about my decision," said Pele.
As a senior, Pele was named Team Captain, Team MVP, All-SPSL North at linebacker and running back and an all-state game nominee. In nine games, he had 50 tackles, 15 for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles and two recoveries.
Offensively, he rushed for 552 yards on 104 attempts and scored five touchdowns.
