East Tuesday Morning MVP: Bryce Brown
There is not much not to like about the 6-foot-0, 205-pound Brown from East High in Wichita, Kan. If you were to try and build up a running back from clay you would mold him after Brown. He is chiseled and has runs with great power.
The thing that immediately jumps out at you is his ability to move. He hits the hole extremely hard and there is no delay when he plants his feet to make a cut. His hips are so good that he could probably flip over to defense and man up some great receivers as a corner.
He had some huge plays slashing through the middle of the field and even caught a couple of deep passes for scores.
Justin Green: Green made some terrific plays. When people log on to Green's Scout.com profile they probably view him as just a speed player, but today he proved that he can come up and lay the wood as well. He made a few good plays against the run and he probably had the play of the day when he reached up and snagged a pass away from a receiver in the end-zone.
Brandon McGee: McGee also had a strong showing and was right in the mix for the MVP. He is a sick athlete and with his athleticism he could probably just as easily play offense. Like Green he is also not afraid to come up and play physically.
East Defensive Line: It is hard to pick a favorite from the group. They had a strong day against a great offensive line. Donte Moss is lightening quick off of the edge. Tyler Stockton is a beast. At times William Campbell is unblockable. Johnny Simon has the strength of a bull and out physicals the man across from him. All-in-all the defensive line had a dominating performance.
