There is game changing speed and tremendous size that is mixed between the White and Black teams. It will be very interesting to see several players make a big jump up in competition and how they respond against similar talent.
The White Team starts with three state championship wide receivers from Florida who will look to build on impressive senior campaigns. Andre Debose and Nu'Keese Richardson are game-breaking threats. Richardson was an early verbal to Florida and has exceptional quickness while playing bigger than his size. He is a nightmare in space for defenders. Debose, who remains undecided, is electric with the ball in his hands and should see time on special teams. Debose might be the fastest player on the field. Carter is the son of an NFL legend, Cris Carter, and will attend Ohio State. He is an outstanding run blocker and route runner, while having an elite pair of hands.
Terry Hawthorne (committed to Illinois) is another big play artist with deep speed. Hawthorne can make you miss in space and take it the house. Jheranie Boyd is committed to
North Carolina and brings plus size to the wide receiver core while being dangerous down the field in one on one coverage. Jamal Patterson (committed to Stanford) is another bigger
receiver with hands and should be a match-up problem for the defensive backs.
Jordan Najvar is another commit to Stanford. At 6'6 and close to 240 pounds, he has the speed to run past linebackers and the frame to be a force in the running game. Barrett Matthews (commit to Texas) is a threat in the passing game and can be split out like an H-Back or work the middle of the field.
A quartet of 6'2+ weapons headline the Black squad. Logan Heastie (commit to West Virginia) is a 6'2 long striding deep threat with explosion who will fight for the ball. Marlon Brown is undecided and has the best size of the wide receiver group. At 6'5 he is a match-up nightmare for defensive back's. He possesses great feet with rare ability to be shifty in space. Alshon Jeffery (commit to USC) is the most complete wide receiver on the field. At 6'4 he is a physical presence with superior route running skills while having good wheels and burst. Keenan Davis (commit to Iowa) is a 6'3 silky smoth wideout with impressive body control and athleticism.
Roby Toma (commit to UCLA) is a smaller wide receiver who is just a pure football player. He makes all the catches and is very polished for a high school wide receiver. Jamal Reid is a 6'0 deep threat who simply dominated his competition. Reid showed the ability to make plays on both sides of the ball and has sneaky speed.
Morrell Presley, the top-ranked tight end in the country by Scout.com, committed to UCLA earlier this month after being committed to USC for almost two
years. He is a bit of a hybrid type as he could play tight end or wide receiver. Presley is a big game player who consistently showed the ability to come up with the big catch.
A more traditional tight end is Arthur Lynch (commit to Georgia). Lynch has an outstanding frame is a force in the running game. He is a threat in the passing game with a great pair of hands and solid route running skills. Ra'shede Hageman (commit to Minnesota) is a 6'6 athlete. Hageman makes acrobatic catches and has the necessary speed to stretch the middle of the field. He is very aggressive in the running game.
