UnderArmour Day Two: Team White Defense Top 5

Stephon Gilmore

Five players stood out on defense for Team White on Thursday at the UnderArmour All-America Game's second day of practice in Orlando...

Branden Smith: He made great breaks on the ball all day. Smith broke up a number of passes, he locked down big and small receivers, and he can change direction with the best of them. He showed big time playmaking skills.

Stephon Gilmore: Reading the quarterback is something Gilmore did very nicely today. He showed very good instincts at safety and he picked two passes off during 7-on-7. He looked like a natural in the secondary today.

Manti Te'o: He looks like a college linebacker physically already and he hits like someone on that level at times too. Te'o get up field in a hurry, he played off blocks well, and he is going to be a strong inside backer on the next level.

Steve Williams: The future Cal Bear may be a little on the small side, but he played very physical and fast today. He was impressive when in press coverage and he jumped an underneath route with his quickness and made a great interception.

Craig Roh: The defensive end is light now, but he has potential at Michigan. He showed a lot of energy, he showed good technique, and he got a lot of pressure on the quarterbacks. One on one, all offensive linemen had a hard time with him because of his technique.
