Temple Retains Three Prep Players

Temple Retains Three Prep Players

One of the most important parts of signing a player that will be attending a year of prep school to improve their academic standing is actually retaining said players for the next year's recruiting class. Head Coach Al Golden and the rest of the Temple staff have been doing a great job of this so far this season and will have three of last year's players signing again.

Hargrave Military Academy cornerback Maurice Jones, Fork Union Military Academy defensive tackle Shahid Paulhill and Valley Forge Military Academy linebacker Geoffrey Prather all put their John Hancock on the dotted line for Temple last year on signing day and according to our sources they will be doing the same thing against this February.

With an extra year spent at prep schools raising their grades and football IQ, all three players could make an instant impact on the Owls defense this upcoming season. One player to watch for specifically is Geoffrey Prather, originally from Archbishop Carroll High School. Prather is somewhat of a physical freak and could end up being one of the hidden gems of the recruiting class.
