Better Late Than Never

Sometimes players can slip through the cracks when they commit due to coaching changes at their schools or many other factors, as is the case with Ted Ouellet, a defensive lineman from Sherborn, Mass., who is a Bowling Green Falcon. We caught up with him tonight to talk about his commitment which happened long ago.

Ted Ouellet, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive lineman from Dover-Sherborn High School in Sherborn, Mass., has played nose tackle, three-technique and defensive end during his high school career, but will stay on the outside as a pass rusher at the next level during his time at Bowling Green.

“I actually committed to Bowling Green on July 4th, but we got a new coaching staff, so with the switch it just hasn’t really gone public until now,” Ouellet said. “When I went out there I just really liked the coaching staff a lot and felt comfortable with them. I liked the school a lot too, especially coming from a small high school because it’s a bigger school.”

“They also have brand new facilities and a really nice weight room which caught my eye,” Ouellet added. “When the old head coach got fired I was leaning away a bit, but once I talked to the new coaching staff I became firm to them again and will be flying down for an official visit on January 16th.”

Ouellet has been a very productive player during his time in high school, however he did not have exact statistics at the time of our phone conversation, so they will be posted later.
