Butte (Calif.) College kicker/punter Augie Heath, who received his first offer from Sacramento State, singed with the Hornets last month.
"I decided to attend Sac State because that is where I really comfortable all along. The coaching staff is the coolest I have ever been recruited by. They made me feel at home from the minute I stepped foot on campus and I could tell how genuine they are," said Heath.
Heath also grew to like the Sac State coaching staff.
"I also like Sac State because it is definitely a program on the rise. Coach Sperbeck and his staff have done a great job bringing in hardworking kids that are dedicated to bringing the program to the next level and I want to be a part of that. The fact that Sacramento is close to home is nice because my parents can see me play at least 7 times a year. I'm real excited to get in there this spring and do whatever I can to help the program succeed," said Heath.
Heath helped lead Butte to the California State JC title in December.
