The 6' 1", 215 pound Army All-American arrived back from San Antonio with recruiters literally waiting in his drive way

"I didn't really have time to catch my breath," added the soft spoken Kendrick Hardy. "My phone started ringing that night. Ole Miss called. USM called. And then the next day, both of them were at my house."

The instate battle has been furious between the two rivals.

"They try and not talk about the other school, but I can always tell that they really do not like each other (laugh)."

The Army All-American experience was valuable by frustrating at the same time.

"Well, I had fun up there, but they did not run the type of offense I was expecting. They ran the spread. I only got two carries in the game, and both time, the plays were blown up."

He did take away some knowledge from playing against the nation's best high school players.

"When you see a hole, you have to find it and go through it real fast. You can not hesitate or the hole will close on you before you get through it."

The Dandy Dozen selection reported to us last time that he thought his scholarship might have been taken at Ole Miss, but that was a false rumor.

"Coach Dameron came by here this week and told me that I have a spot for me no matter what because they need a power back. It was a relief knowing that. I just told him thank you."

Did the Rebels ask him to commit during the home visit?

"No, they told me to go on and visit USM this weekend and see after that. They said they did not want to rush me into making a decision. They want me to be 100% before I commit."

Is it basically down to USM and Ole Miss now?

"Yes sir."

What will Kendrick look at between the two schools?

"I want to see how the coaches act towards me. I am going to go over there today and look at the environment and and look at how they do things on offense."

USM runs the spread attack. Does this worry Hardy since he did not like the spread offense from the Army All-American game?

"No, because they still run the ball a lot. Their RB rushed for over 1, 200 yards this year."
