"We were going to Ole Miss this weekend, and Alabama last, but I could
not get off of work last weekend so we are going to Alabama this weekend,"
stated AJ's father, Tony McCarron, by text.
Does this mean things have settled down for A.J. McCarron, and he is now set
on not taking anymore visits?
"We still hope to take two more visits after Alabama. It all depends on
my work schedule. If I can get off of work, we will take one to Ole Miss and
one to either Oklahoma or Tennessee."
When did Tennessee come into the picture?
"They have been coming after him hard since they changed staffs. They are
supposed to come by our house next week, as is Oklahoma and Ole Miss."
The Rebels have been heavily in the mix for QB Raymond Cotton. A.J. and Raymond
know all about one another as Cotton use to prep in Mobile before moving to
Maryland for his senior campaign. Is McCarron keeping an eye on what is going
on with Raymond?
"No, not at all, AJ feels like he can beat anyone out. He has been working
hard in the gym," added Tony.
Miami was heavily in the mix but that is no longer the case.
"My dad said he did not like the area," added A.J. "I guess that
nixes that (laugh)."
