Lanier Talking Visits
Izauea Lanier profile "I am taking a visit next week to Auburn (1/23)," said Lanier. "I was talking with Mississippi State about one. I think that's on the 30th. I was supposed to go to Kentucky this weekend, but I am going to have to wait and see about that one. I don't know if I am going to be able to make that one." The schools setting visits have all offered including another school closer to home. "I have offers from Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Troy and Hinds junior college over in Mississippi," said Izauea. "Auburn is recruiting me as a safety. Mississippi State is looking at me as a receiver or a cornerback. Kentucky wants me as a corner and Troy as a receiver." Lanier denies a leader and is content to wait the process out before tipping his hand. "I am not going to know until I take my visits," said Izauea. "I am looking mainly at the schools that are targeting me right now. Kentucky is really showing me a lot of interest, but they all are now. I am just going to have to think about everything." While Lanier is not ready to tab a list of favorites, he is willing to concede that schools that allow his family a better chance of seeing him play have a natural advantage. "I am really looking at schools that aren't too far from home," said Izauea. "I am looking at school that are about three, four or five hours away. I want my family to be able to come see me."
