The hardwood Bulldogs knocked off the Vanderbilt Commodores in an important SEC match-up. The recruits were able to attend.
"We went to the basketball game and we ate about every ten minutes," chuckled Shumbert. "The basketball was great. It was only my second time to go to a college game. The crowd was big. It was a good atmosphere."
"I am excited about those guys," said William. "It's more weapons for us. They are all good players and they know the game. It makes me even more excited. We have to keep all of the best players in Mississippi to keep going to Mississippi State."
Another person who shares that sentiment, head coach Dan Mullen, had the chance to sit down and spend some one-on-one time with the talented full back.
"We watched film and we talked about the future a lot," said William. "Coach Mullen said he was glad to have me coming there. He said he was glad I was committed. I was excited just to meet him. He is a real nice guy."
Shumpert has no other visits planned and is not considering any other schools.
"I am just ready for signing day now," said William. "I am going to be working and lifting and getting ready for the season."
