Gabriel Hunter settles in with OM

Scout.com's #62 rated RB was set to take in a couple of official visits to Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, but those plans have changed.

"I changed my mind at the last minute," added Gabriel Hunter. "I was supposed to visit T Tech this weekend, but I called to let them know I was not coming anymore. I am just going to visit Ole Miss on the 30th."

Why the change of plans?

"Because I really had already made up my mind. I was just going to take in some visits just to have some fun, but I changed my mind after Coach Nix came by tell discuss my options for next season.

And what are those options.

"I am going to take greyshirt so I can let my leg heal. They have some of the best doctors in the country down there, with them being a medical school and all. They are going to get me to sit out a semester, put me on a greyshirt, and get my knee stronger. They will put me on full scholarship in the Spring and I will still have all of my eligibility. Really, I am kind of happy they are doing it this way, so I will be 100% ready when it is my turn."

Hunter's parents also played a big role in the final decision.

"My mom really wants me going to Ole Miss so I can stay close to home. She really feels good about me going to Ole Miss. She wants me to sit out, get stronger, and come in ready to shine. That is exactly what I plan on doing.
