South Panola product headed to UAB

The 5' 10", 180 pound defensive back out of the South's top football program, South Panola, shocked some when he committed to UAB last night.

"David Conner informed the UAB staff last night that he is committed," added Tiger head coach, Lance Pogue.

What made the one time Auburn commit decide on UAB?

"It is a great opportunity for him to play early. He liked the coaches, and he is excited about them having his major, exercise science. He also loved his visit went over there."

UAB is getting one of the more productive players in South Panola's storied history.

"UAB is getting number one a great kid with high character. He has made such an impact on this program on and off of the field."

The Dandy Dozen selection should play in the backfield for the Blazers.

"They recruited him for safety to down in the box. He is a great tackler and great blitzer. He will make a quick impact for their program."
