San Fernando (Calif.) cornerback Rashaad Reynolds is one of the most versatile players in the City Section, but having to play quarterback for much of his career, kept him from really having a chance to show what he could do at other positions.

But the gifted athlete caught the attention of Oregon State, and the Beavers had Reynolds in for a visit this weekend.

"It went real good," said Reynolds. "Coach (Mike) Riley offered me officially on the trip, so I'm pretty excited. It's a relief to get an offer from a Pac-10 school, especially from someone that's good."

Reynolds was hosted on his visit by Lance Mitchell.

"I got to meet him, and most of the team and they are all real cool guys," said Reynolds. "I talked a lot with Coach Keith Heyward and Coach Riley. They think I'm legit at corner."

Reynolds will take one more visit next weekend, to New Mexico State, where former UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker, who recruited Reynolds, is now the head coach.

"I've got one more visit, to New Mexico State and I'm going to make my decision after that," said Reynolds. "Right now, I'm leaning towards Oregon State."
