Prentice Joseph profile
"I have already taken some visits and I am going to Nicholls State on Thursday," said Joseph. "I have been to Texas Southern, Lamar and Prairie View A&M so far."
P Joe, as his teammates call him, believes he has what college recruiters are looking for in a linebacker.
"I think I read well," said Prentice. "I attack the football and I don't miss tackles. I do whatever it takes to get to the ball."
The main thing that Joseph is looking for in a college is the chance to play in a top defense.
"I looking for a good defense. I want to play in a ranked defense," said Prentice. "I want to play in the 4-3 or a a 3-4. I would like to play inside."
The Pasadena Dobie High School alum turned in an impressive 2008 season after sitting out the 2007 season with a shoulder injury.
"I had 84 tackles, one interception, three fumble recoveries, two forces fumbles, two pass break-ups and a one sack," reported Prentice.
Joseph holds offers from Lamar, Nicholls State, Prairie View and Texas Southern. He will gladly make a selection from that quartet of schools, but a pair of division programs have shown just enough interest to keep Prentice in a holding pattern.
"I would like to get to U of H (Houston) or UAB," said Joseph. "I am waiting to see what they say before I make a final decision."
