Michigan's upper penninsula is connected to Wisconsin more than it is to Michigan. That proximity allowed Bret Bielema and his staff to get a good look at Menominee tight end Jacob Pedersen, who became the latest verbal commitment for the Badgers.

Sources have informed that Menominee (Mich.) tight end Jacob Pedersen has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers.

The 6'5, 215-lb Pedersen has been one of the most prolific players in school history, playing tight end, running back, wide receiver, safety and linebacker.

He projects to tight end in college, where he caught 66 passes for 1,443 yards and 19 touchdowns during his career.

On defense, he amassed 270 tackles, eight interceptions and three for touchdowns.

He is the 20th known verbal commitment in Wisconsin's class.
