Romanella Focused on Four

Bound Brook, N.J., native Mike Romanella is simply waiting now in the last two weeks of the recruiting process to see what the schools do that are recruiting him. The signal caller sounds like he could be close to an offer from FAU in all of this, but only time will tell.

Mike Romanella, a 6-foot, 175-pound quarterback from Bound Brook High School in New Jersey doesn’t have the prototypical size coaches look for in a quarterback, so things have been a bit rough for him in recruiting. He does however possess the ability to play at the next level and right now Florida Atlantic, Wagner, Towson and Hofstra seem to be the four schools he’s narrowed it down to.

“Florida Atlantic has told Mike that they want him and right now they’re just waiting for their new quarterbacks coach to come in and evaluate the same film they really liked to get things rolling,” Sam Romanella said. “He’s definitely jacked about FAU and would really love to play for that coaching staff. He knows that Bernie Kosar and Vinnie Testerverde went through the same coach and that’s impressive to him.”

“Coach Rob Ambrose at Towson is another guy that has definitely impressed Mike and his wide receiver from last year is at Towson now. He’s also looking at Hofstra and Wagner right now.”
